Okay, how about, the Top One. Yeah, that's the ticket.
I kinda like the bottom one for the clean look, but the top one is fun... now I feel the pressure, I think I am just gonna have a little nap here at my keyboard and see where I go from there...
I, on the other hand, will commit to an opinion. I like the bottom one better. It would look sweet on a platinum can (and add another clever meaning to the name).

I bet some javascript to have it alternate by date should be pretty simple. I'll look into it.
