Never in the history of games have I heard that "We are capping Preorder sales" before a launch. But apparently this game has sold so abundantly well that the initial sales will be capped for Preorders.
I've preordered my digital copy already when it was announced, but I keep a lookout for my boys who may want to join us in the future.

Well, looks like I won't have a copy before Christmas, but that's probably a good thing anyway since I'm not exactly made of time.
I'm sure there will be launch issues so maybe picking it up in January or Feb is a good idea anyway (at least for me).
I am on the fence about SWTOR. All the stuff I've seen so far (which has been a while since I have looked) didn't really give me the massive multiplayer feel I look for in MMO's. Lots of what I've seen looks like a 2 player co-op rpg. Which is still cool, but makes me less excited for it.
Now Guild Wars 2, that's one I'll likely be picking up launch day. No subscription fee, trying to break a lot of conventions (no healer class?), crazy environmental interactions (Fire Elementalist can ignite a rock thrown by a catapult making a meteor strike? sweet)
Roomie Nathan just started playing Rift lately, which is giving me an MMO itch, but I have a ton of other games I want to finish before fall, so starting a new MMO now seems like a bad idea.
MMO is life stealing badness for me. I think that if I got into it again I'd never want to stop. For the sake of my family and friends I'm gonna not do it. Good luck to the rest of you in fending off a particularly strong strain of star wars related disease.
