So for those of you are not aware of the pitch that was made to relaunch the Mortal Kombat series, a year ago someone made this short.
The result was the following web series. There have only been two episodes thus far, but they are pretty good. Here are the first two, and well worth the time to watch.

New episodes are out on Tuesdays if you liked the first two.
I wasn't overly impressed with the original short, but the fully financed web series is looking pretty good.
Nice to see 7of9 getting some genre work, as well.
You know what this series really needs? It needs the awesome Mortal Kombat song from the movies, Test your might. MORTAL KOMBAT!!

Let's say we're (almost) close to being even for some truly awful videos you've assaulted me with over the years. Another ten hours of the awful song and we're all good for the "Liver transplant" video. Bastard.
Helo, from BSG reboot takes a step down into web based tv. Overall, not bad though.
