This does not tell time, but it does count. I watched it go for about a minute, then I couldn't watch anymore. The only word I really have for it is alarming.

It tells time on my computer - the animated analog clock face even detected my time zone accurately.
If it had a button where you could zoom the sample down to your local community, the way you can zoom the time down, it probably wouldn't appear alarming at all.
Of course, that would be impossible, as none of the numbers given is an actual count or measurement, and therefore can only be located in two places - across all of human occupied space (as suggested), or inside our heads (as is).
It should be made into a Windows Vista gadget (or whatever the hell they are called).
Kyro, there already was a section on infectious diseases!
