In NHRA drag racing (that is the biggest league of inline racing in North America) in the 70's there was a legendary rivalry between two race teams: the driver for one was nicknamed "The Snake" and the other was "Mongoose". It was some of the fiercest on-track (and supposedly off-track) drag racing competition seen then, or since.
