Voice memo to email

Hey everyone, found this site that is kinda neat. Basic idea is that from a phone, you can call a number, leave a message, and it is sent to your email in text format.

The only down side is that I can't get it to work with the 1-800 number. If any of you out there try this and get it going I would love to know what you did.

I signed up one morning about 5 weeks ago at 2am to test it out. The transcriptions for my two test messages were right on the money. I have tried it from both Sasktel and Rogers accounts and neither seems to function with the 877 number. I tried the Canadian #(see below) and it works just fine. I never really found a need for the service that seemed any more convenient than entering it in my treo datebook. I'm embarrassed to relate that I also never checked my bill to see what it cost to call. Good luck.

This is from their faq:

If you live in Canada, you can try using our main number 877-JOTT-IT-NOW [877-568-8486] and if that doesnt work try calling [647-724-5814], a Canadian number. Some Mobile Operators in Canada do not forward Caller-ID to Toll Free numbers unfortunately. However, significant charges may apply to this phone call, so check your Carrier's Terms and Conditions. Jott.com is not responsible for charges associated with phone calls, internet access, text messages, and the like
