Get in the Tunnel

GENIUS!
Meet Tunnelbear, your new online best friend.
This brilliant little Canadian designed app creates a VPN allowing to you view country specific online content that you couldn't watch before. It's stupidly simple to sue, with two buttons: on/off and UK/US. Now you can watch BBC videos, or Hulu or Spotify as if you were in the states or the UK.

The free version only gives you 500MB, but if you are needing more the paid version is only $5/month for unlimited content. What a fantastic idea! These guys are going to be millionaires soon!

Its amazing how much the entertainment industry bitches and moans about pirates but if they would just distribute content everywhere at once so much of it would go away.

Services like this combined with BBC videos, Hulu, Spotify or Netflix prove people are willing to pay (reasonable) money for content.

I know I'm preaching to the converted here, but it never ceases to amaze me how much money the entertainment industry is throwing away on lawsuits when there are hordes of customers that they ignore just waiting to hand them money.

Yeah, the industry spends way too much time going after "pirates" (who range in age from 6 to 96) instead of looking at their decades old, broken system.

Tried it. Worked great. Only gives you 500MB though. $5 a month gives you unlimited.

Well, yeah, it says that right in the post...

You must be in "Student-Read" mode, which omits roughly 40% of the text you absorb for the sake of your sanity. Been there.

Ah, ya, well, uh, right
