Avoid Toxic People (and other wisdom)

The advice on how to recognize toxic people really grabbed me but there are some other interesting thoughts in here as well. Worth a read.

There is some really good stuff in here, but he clearly misses the point entirely of "Less is more". It's one of those very true things that you either get (mainly because you've experienced in some genuine hard to explain way) or don't (probably because you're either overly analytical or perhaps not in touch with your spiritual self).

Highlighting the danger of letting skepticism become cynicism also resonates strongly with me. I'm no optimist, but I strive to keep my cynical character in check while I maintain some healthy skepticism.

Point 8 is also a breath of fresh air to me, because I struggle with confidence regularly and have what I've always considered to be an unhealthy amount of doubt. But turning it on it's head like this actually explains a few irreconcilable contradictions I've had in my brain for some time. It feels like an extension of Socratic wisdom to me.
