Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex

In advance of the new Superman movie, opening June 28, I thought I'd draw your attention to this hilarious eassy written by Larry Niven back in 1971. It's all about the superdude's sex life, or lack thereof...

Well worth the 5 minutes it'll take you to read it!

Excellent. Thanks for finding this essay. I read it about 15 years ago and everytime I've thought about Superman since, I've thought "I'd like to find that article again, the one about Superman blowing Lois Lane's head off". Of course, thinking about something and actually taking steps to accomplish that thing requires a virtual bonanza of immediate convenience for me. Otherwise, I generally decide to do something and promptly forget whatever I'd decided to do along with the fact that I had decided to do it in the first place.

Again, thanks for the wealth of ease that I require.

P.S. The essay is great! Logical analysis is so much fun!

"I'd like to find that article again..." - yep, mee too, but I also never bothered to look.

Personally, I don't think it would be that tricky for Supergirl to get some time off of school. She should definitely carry the artificially inseminated egg to term, being more natural as a woman and all. She would be able to birth the child normally - I'm having trouble imagining how a person would do a C-Section on Superman to get the baby out - maybe if you had a green kryptonite laser of some kind.

I'm taking my brother to see Superman when it comes out, if anybody is in the mood to go with us it would be stellar - I know Rob would love to see people.
