Just get him the hell out of a Fins uniform already. What a wastrel.

I wonder how he will pay back that huge broken contract fee on a CFL RB salary... and I thought I had debt.

Yeah, sort of make me thing the Fins are going to be stuck with him for awhile. He's essentially an indentured servant at this point. I guess his other option is always bankruptcy. He should declare right away and then try to get his career, whatever and wherever that might be, back on track.

The part of the article I found interesting is the fact that the CFL doesn't drug test. I hadn't ever directed my mind to the issue. Ultimately, the article casts the CFL in a pretty poor light.

It is certainly surprising that any professional sport wouldn't test - but maybe less surprising when the host country is Canada.

We have a bit of a reputation for being lax about drug testing and drug enforcement in general.

I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing - arguments for both sides could be made pretty convincingly.

In 2000, former Titan Denard Walker was suspended for one game after an incident with the mother of his child, and he entered a conditional plea. He received probation for a year and was ordered to attend domestic abuse classes.

So a confessed violent offender gets a 1 game suspension but Williams is out for no less than 4 games, and has to read Paul Attner - "Ricky's always been one of the most selfish, unpredictable, purposely bizarre and more-than-slightly-off-kilter athletes. He doesn't care how his behavior might affect anyone around him. It has always been about Ricky." - all based on in house testing whose conduct is so secretive that no-one will even reveal what he tested positive for?

Well, it's nice to know I can be a wife-beating drunk and still be a rich hero, but I can't smoke pot on the weekend.

At least the media is toeing the line as the whip of fascist bureaucracy - in this case the NFL.
